Online and print publication The Silicon Review published its list of the 50 Most Trustworthy Companies of the Year. The companies on the list include SizeUp, Accuity, Vantagepoint Software, Laserfiche, System C Healthcare, Comodo, Codeplay Software, Envirosuite, Pulse Secure, Finastra, and more.

The Article “Focus on Western Sussex as County aims to help business” in Costal Point explains that “SizeUp lets people create customized reports for their specific industry. Tools include benchmarking to see how a business compares to competitors in the industry, as well as mapping of competition, customers and supplies. It also shows advertising and demographics, such as labor force and consumer spending in that area.” The information is available to local businesses on the Sussex County website.
“This is the same information — tools that large businesses use to make decisions,” but now it’s free for smaller businesses in Sussex, said Economic Development Director William Pfaff.
The Bplans article “85 of the Best Business Tools for Startups” by Noah Parsons lists tools that the team at Bplans “know, love, and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend-many of them we use ourselves.” The full list of the four market research tools recommended for startups includes the US Bureau of Labor Statistics Consumer Expenditure Survey, Neilsen MyBestSegments, Google Trends, and SizeUp.
The article says that “If you need help finding a business location or want to see where your competition is, check out SizeUp. You can also compare your forecasted marketing and advertising budget against the competition.” It further explains about the business tools that entrepreneurs should “Use them to propel your startup into success and growth.” The article includes their curated list of favorite tools and resources to build a company.
Coverager’s article “Westfield Insurance Partners with SizeUp Thanks to PnP” discusses how Westfield Insurance is using SizeUp to serve its small business customers. It also describes the features of SizeUp.
The white paper from the Financial Times’ fDi Intelligence, 5 Online Trends Economic Developers Can’t Ignore, includes the trend “Small is the New Big”. The article points out that there is greater value from economic development organizations focusing on small businesses that already exist in their communities instead of an exclusive focus on business attraction from outside of the area.
